This summer Warner Brothers is releasing Nancy Drew the movie. The movie will star Julia Roberts’s niece Emma Roberts. Currently Emma can be seen on Nickelodeon’s hit show “Unfabulous�.

When asked about the role Emma said, “I really wanted the part really bad, I didn’t read any of the books when I was younger, but now I’m actually reading them!â€?

The movie takes place in today’s time and portraits Nancy as a vintage sleuth from a small town, who moves with her father to Los Angeles. She stumbles across evidence about a long-unsolved crime involving the mysterious death of a beautiful movie star. Nancy’s resourcefulness and personal responsibility are put to the test when she finds herself in the middle of the fast paced, self-indulgent world of Hollywood.

Roberts admitted she’s a little nervous taking on such a beloved character. “It’s really great. I’m rather nervous because so many generations have read the books and I have big shoes to fill. But I’m really excited and it’s going to be a lot of fun,� said Roberts, adding, “I get to drive a car so that’s fun.�

Staring teen actress Emma Roberts with adventure, comedy, and mystery all in one, Nancy Drew is sure to be great summer flick this year for kids.
