Music is a powerful thing and can help us get through the day. Who doesn’t love rocking out to there favorite song or going to see a great band in concert. Music can bring out a side of us we didn’t know we had, make us feel like someone understands us, and most of all has a sound like none other. But music just doesn’t come from a CD, there are Broadway plays and countless of movies devoted to music raging from the classics like Sound of Music to Marry Poppins, to the new hit High School Musical, and Camp Rock.

Music is a big part of the world and is one reason why Sparkling Stars deiced to have music star Alexz Johnson as our cover girl. Alexz is an amazing singer/songwriter and that why Sparkling Stars thought it would be cool to give it up to some undiscovered songwriters, so at the being of last month Sparkling Stars announced they were having there first ever contested titled “Write the Lyrics” a contest were unknown songwriters and Sparkling Stars readers would send in a song or poem he or she has written and Sparkling Stars would pick winner. Will have there song posted in not only in this month issue, but also on our MySpace page! So here the moment we all been waiting for the winning song is “Dear Stranger” By Michelle!

Dear Stranger

Dear Stranger, I see you everywhere, as much as I see you, I get lost, you are everywhere, I don’t even know who you are, I just see you It’s easy to say you are a stranger, it’s easy to think, that you are following me, but you don’t trick me, I’ll find out who you are, Dear Stranger, I can’t find a way, to tell you, I love you

(Repeat verse 1)

One day, I’ll find you, I’ll seek you, and tell you, that I love you, Dear stranger,

(Repeat verse 1)

You might be a stranger, to everyone and me, but for my heart, I know you for a long time, who are you? You stranger, always helping me, and you tell me, you love me, and I follow you, but I don’t know you I know who you are, but that’s deep inside, it’s getting closer to me, and I just want to now, who you are, Dear Stranger

I think I can guess, that you are helping me, and that I see you, I want to thank you, and I know who you are, I can find out, and it, won’t take very long, to tell you, my sweet dear stranger. No harm, you stranger.
