Now I found, who I am there’s no way to hold it in no more hiding who I want to be this is me.” These are the lyrics to the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock song, “This is me,” they also just happen to be the lyrics that put Demi Lovato on the map.

She used to be just a teenage girl from Texas, have fun, hang out with friends, and doing what all teen girls do, until she landed the role of Charlotte on the Disney Channel mini series “As the bell rings.” Although it was only a five minute program, tweens began to notice her and wanted to see more of what she could do in acting. It came at a surprise to a lot of Disney viewers when they found out there was more to this Disney starlet then just acting; as she took the title role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel TV movie “Camp Rock.”

The movie was about; a teen girl who must work in the kitchen with her mom over summer at one of best music camps in order to attend the camp. In order to keep her secret as kitchen help she starts to tell little white lies, which soon blows up in her face. And, to make matters worse after she is overheard singing by teen pop star, Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), he set out to find the girl behind the voice; the only problem is, can she face her fears and let him know she’s the girl he’s been looking for, before it’s too late?

Camp Rock became a hit for tweens everywhere and so did Demi, she has raisin to stardom in just a few month she went from Demi Lovato who? To Demi Lovato newest Disney darling, she will be releasing her first album sometime in September 2008; she is also rumored to be staring in the new Disney Channel original series “Welcome to Hollywood.”
