Demi Lovato star of the Disney Channel Original movie “Camp Rock,” released her debut album on September 23, 2008 titled “Don’t Forget;” the album featured 11 tracks most of which were co-written by Demi herself, and some she co-wrote with her camp rock co-stars and popular teen music trio, the Jonas Brothers. Her first single off the album “Get Back;” is about a girl wanting to get back with a her former boyfriend, however the song was no “This is Me” (her hit song from “Camp Rock”), it was bit of a let down and felt as if she was straining her voice to sing (as did most of the albums songs).

The tracks like “Trainwreck,” “Party,” and “Until You’re Mine,” were not memorable and did not stand out, as for her title track “Don’t Forget;” I must say it was a slight boring and slow, although you could feel her emotion in the song it needed to have something more to make it a power title song.

The Nevertheless the album was not a complete let down the song “On the Line;” which she co-sang with “Jonas Brothers,” was a break up/love song, it had a good sound and great lyrics, as well as the song “Two Worlds Collide,” that she wrote for her best friend and fellow Disney Stars, Selena Gomez. Others songs like “Gonna Get Caught,” and “The Middle” might have been the typical relationship tunes, but had a pleasant rock beat not heard much through out the CD.

The final song off the album is “Believe in Me,” is a power track that tells us to be ourselves and never give up on our dreams; unfortunately the song lacks any kind of emotion at all, so ultimately with all the ups and many downs this album has Sparkling Stars gives it a “C” rating.
