The Uninvited is a suspense/thriller film with an unexpected twist; it is “The Others” meets “The Sixth Sense,” and will leave you cling to your seat. The movie stars Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events “Emily Browning;”
and follows Anna Rydell and her sister Alex, who come to find that their fathers new girlfriend maybe the cause of the fire that killed their mother one year ago.
Unlike many other suspense/thriller it does not drag out scene, and although there were a few heart pounding moments, the film went more into the mystery and sci-fi area of scary movies; and was not just another movie about teenagers getting killed by some deranged psychopath in the middle of nowhere.
The only down fall to the film was once you watch it you can never watch it again, because you already no the being twist at the end; which I have to say to all who have not seen the film is really shocking. However, in the end the movie is a horror flick well for any scary movie lover like me; the actors worked off one another well, the plot was good, and there were not main holes in the film, everything came together well.
I think this movie is solid A-.
