We got an exclusive interview with rising star Chelsea Makela, who plays Tracy in Paramount Pictures “Dance Flick.” We talk about everything from, her character in the film, her advice for other aspiring actors, what superhero would she love to be, and so much more. Sparkling Stars: Hello, how are you today?

Chelsea Makela: Hi, I just fine thank you.

Sparkling Stars: So, you will be starting in Paramount Pictures, in film on May 22 2009, Dance Flick, right?

Chelsea Makela: Yes!

Sparkling Stars: In the film you play Tracy, what is her Personality like?

Chelsea Makela: Tracy, she is the bubble, kind of naive one in the group. She’s just excited and happy to be a part of the big dance battle, and everything. She was fun, she was a lot of fun.

Sparkling Stars: Is she anything like you in real life?

Chelsea Makela: Um, I am very optimist person; however I’m not quiet naïve as the character was, but I am very optimist, up beat person, so yea!

Sparkling Stars: What was it like working on the film?

Chelsea Makela: It was so much fun! The Wayans were just such great people to mentor under, work with, and learn from. And the cast, everybody was just really nice, and it was a great, great experience.

Sparkling Stars: Who did you feel when you found out you got the role?

Chelsea Makela: I was so excited, it was kind of surreal; it took a couple of days for it to actually sink in with me, and real take it all in that I had gotten the role.

Sparkling Stars: When did you decide you want to be an actress?

Chelsea Makela: I knew I want to perform, when I was like 4 or 5, but I started acting in community theatre when I was a eleven, and that’s when I found out that’s really what I like to do.

Sparkling Stars: What is you favorite part about acting?

Chelsea Makela: I like that you can have a different character, and set into a life that isn’t exactly your life. Like, I’ll never workout a problem by dancing; I mean I’ll never breakout in song, in a cafeteria, or a grocery store to sole something in my life. So, it is kind of fun to live in that fantasy land, where you can sole issues by dancing or singing, or something.

Sparkling Stars: Who are some big name stars you would love to work with?

Chelsea Makela: Um, Adam Sandler, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, I mean the list could go on and on.

Sparkling Stars: What advice would you give to people who want to get into the acting business?

Chelsea Makela: Just to try, get training, keep studying, and don’t let anything stand in your way. Just keep pushing forward, and in a matter of time your constantly working towards your goal, you’ll get where you want to go.

Sparkling Stars: What is your dream role?

Chelsea Makela: I really want to work with Leonardo DiCaprio, anything along side him and that would just be like one in a life time. I would play his daughter, a neighbor, and thing along side him, I just want to learn and work with him he such and incredible actor.

Sparkling Stars: Do you have any new projects coming up?

Chelsea Makela: I have one project I going to be starting in the summer, and then we have a couple different offers we’re looking at, while we finger out where we want to go next.

Sparkling Stars: Lastly, here a quick little fun question, if you could be any superhero which one would you want be.

Chelsea Makela: I would want to be like Wonder Woman!
