If the Crown Fits
By Editor • Jul 1st, 2009 • Category: Features, Historical and Instering FactsLets admit when we were younger we all want nothing more than to be a princess; who wouldn’t want a life where they get to live in a big house, have tons of money,
and boss people around all day? The thing is what most of us don’t know is that being a princess is a lot more hard work the they make it look on TV and in movies, you have be responsible for not only yourself, but the people of your city, you must make very hard decisions everyday, and you always have to be on your best behavior. Princess have to set a good example for other, they should be posed, wise, and kind to succeed as a good and likeable leader that people not only look up to, but trust and believe in.
The titled “Princess” is the female counter part of the word “Princes;” and original only given to the daughter of a King and Queen, but now you do not have to be a member of a royal family to gain the name. If a woman should marry a “Prince” than they will automatically get the titled of “Princess,” however if a “Princess” weds a man outside a royal family; which most in up doing, they will almost never hold the title of “Prince,” but he will so if his wife is set to gain a hire title such as “Queen.”
One of the most beloved “Princesses” was and still is Princess Diana; ever since her marriage to Princes Charles she had become a public finger, people were watching her every move to see what she would do next. Princess Diana didn’t let the unwanted attention stop her from living her life, she support some import charities not many royal families did;
like AIDS and leprosy research. She also did volunteer work at homeless shelters and helped recovering drug addicts, she truly was everything a “Princess” should be. On August 31 1997 Princess Diana was killed in car crash, it was sad day people will never forget, but it is safe to say her memory will live on forever.
There have been many other great Princesses and Queens throughout time that people still to this day talk about, like the great Queen Elizabeth, Princess Mary Tudor, Queen Katherine Howard, Queen Victoria, and countless more. But what most young girl should come to realize is that know matter what royal or not anyone can be a princess you just have posses the qualities a Princess should have the personality and soul of a person is what truly makes them a “Princess.”
