Review Disney: All Wrapped Up Vol. 2

Disney has released their second All Wrapped Up album, sold exclusively at Target stores. The All Wrapped Up volume 1 album contained seven classic holiday songs sung by artist such as Miley Cyrus, Aly & AJ (now 78 Violet), Demi Lovato, and other popular artist. Disney’s All Wrapped Up, Volume 2 was recently released as featuring seven tracks; some classic songs, as well, as some new holiday songs. One of my favorite songs on the album was Selena and the Scene’s cover of “Winter Wonderland,” although some people are not a fan of Disney starlet Selena Gomez’s voice and music style and think she better suited for acting; I love the soft rock touch she add to the song, it is a really great song to put on Christmas Eve night and have the whole family dance to.

Another, song I really like was Honor Society version of “White Christmas.” I have to admit I am not the christmas-tree-fireplace-1024-127315_optbiggest fan of this song, but they really add their on music and style to the tune that really gave it something extra. Of course Jordan Pruitt did a great job on the song “This Christmas;” she just has an amazing voice, however I would have liked the song to have different music to it, it was a little bit too much of Jazz type of music and not holiday. A really good new holiday track the album features is called “Gotta Get Back by Christmas” sung by new artist Steve Rushton; it is just a really fun holiday song to rock out and dance to.

The album also featured an old favorite holiday tune of my “Let It Snow” sung by a new artist as well, Anna Margaret. She did the song in the traditional way which was really good to hear due to all the other artist putting their own spin on the classic songs, it was nice to listen to a song and have it sound the same as its original version. The songs I liked lest on the album was “Please Come Home for Christmas” by Jesse McCartney and “Summertime Anthem” by the Jonas Brothers. First, I have to say I did not like the lyrics in both of the songs, and Please Come Home for Christmas was just a little to slow to me and it had really weird music to it. Don’t get me wrong I am personal a fan of Jesse McCartney music just not of this song.

However, with the Jonas Brothers I have never been a fan of their music; every now and then I will like a song of theirs (“Fly with me” great song) but I am just not into their music. With that said my reason for not like this song has nothing to do with me not like their music I just didn’t like how rock the song it was and it didn’t really sound like a Christmas song to me. Nevertheless, in my opinion five good tracks out of seven isn’t bad, and considering the album only cost $6.99 it is a pretty good deal.
