Jennette strikes a cord in the teenage hearts of her fans with her meaningful lyrics. Another single by Jennette entitled “Homeless Heart” was a dedication to Jennette’s young friend, Cody Waters.
Cody died at the tender age of nine from brain cancer. Jennette had crossed paths with him through Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Twenty percent of the money made from this single went straight to the Cody Waters Foundation. Rest in Peace, Cody. Jennette released an EP on August 17 that includes all of these songs.
