Anime/Cartoon: Batman the Brave and the Bold
Season: Season One, Part Two
Genre: Action | Comedy

Out of the many superheroes out there I would have to say one of my favorites is Batman. He is courageous, smart, and is well, human. It always baffled and astonished me that a guy how had millions of dollars and could do anything he wants in is free time, risked his life for people that thought of him as vigilante. Not to mention the fact that one off day and bullet to the heart could end his life, he still put everything on the line to help set order to Gotham and took his role as The Dark Night more seriously then his secret identity as Bruce Wayne. That is why I have always been a fan of this amazing comic book character and all the cartoon versions of Batman that have been created.

Although, most of these cartoons have the same basic structure I still enjoyed them, but secretly hoped that there would come a day when someone would make a lighter more fun Batman animation. I know that he is called “The Dark Night” for a reason, but a little lightheartedness never hurt anyone. That is why I was so excited when Cartoon Network aired “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” and I was even happier to discover that they were releasing it on to DVD.

On March 15, Warner Bros. released “Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Season One, Part Two” and on this 2-Disc Collection you can catch 13 action packed episodes where the Batman leaps into action alongside some of you favorite superheroes. The Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take down a verity of bad guys ranging from mad scientist to out-of-control teenagers, and even some power-hungry dictators.

Any fan of good doers and comedy will enjoy this DVD set and take pleasure in seeing Batman in a new brighter setting that shows he isn’t all about the night.
