Shopping Tips: Research
No matter what kind of girl you are there is one activity that brings women together is our mutual love of shopping. But spending that paycheck or allowance is hard than it seems. Just like everything there are some dos and don’ts to the world of shopping, which is why Sparkling Stars has started a Shopping Tips series. Throughout this series we’ll give you spending tips that can benefit all buyers, and it is just in time for the holiday season.
This useful tip is most commonly overlooked, but is seriously valuable. Do some investigating on a product; read reviews and get other opinions; this can save you from a regretful buy. Also, browse around to see if another store has a product for less money.
A good example is makeup stores. Ulta and Sephora are the top retail makeup sellers. At first glance both the stores seem evenly matched, but if you do some research you will find that some items are in fact cheaper at one store oppose to the other. Also, Ulta is great about offering deals and coupons to their costumers.
Additionally, most electronic and appliance stores such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Sears, etc. are good about price matching other stores. Still where do clothing fall into all this, because unlike electronics and beauty items a certain shirt or skirt are usually only found at one store. At last with some research you can find the cute little black dress or cheetah print scar somewhere at a lower cost.
A prime example, and what sparked this article, is this “Mesh Sequin Skater Dress” sold at Delias for $59.50 that is a lot of pennies. But after some digging the same dressed was found at Charlotte Russe label “Sequins & Mesh Party Dress” priced at $39.99, which is half the price.
Thus before splurging on an item look for the best deal; assured it might seem like bothersome step but it payoff in the end.
