There are many different shades in the line; ranging from pink tones like “Pink Plum” and “Pink Frosting” to red tones such as “Hot Tamale”, there are some orangey colors like “Peach Satin” and “Candy Coral”. However one of my personal favorites is “Coffee Cake”, which is more on the brown side of color wheel and is a bronzy color.

Although these are great blush and seem to have a variety of shade for all skin tones to pick from, there are little to know matte blushes in the collection, they all have some hint of shimmer in them. This slight drawback might not mean a lot to some but many young girls, like myself, who do not have perfect skin might be feeling a little set off by this factor. The main reason being that when you have breakouts on you checks you want to stay from shimmery products because most of the time they bring attention to your blemishes, which can make one feel self-conscious.

Yet, these are great products that go on shear and are buildable so that you can control the amount of sparkle and color pay off you get. So if you aren’t put off by the glittery side to these blushes or just want something that will make your checks and face glisten I recommend you checkout the “Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes”.

While NYC is often overlooked, its Bronzer in Sunny has acquired a cult following. It is a matte bronzer that retails typically for around $2.99 and is said to give a surprisingly flattering sheer bronze glow, perfect for complimenting your tan, and faking one if you’ve skimped on sunbathing.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain- Lip Stains have become trendy, with versions of this product coming out from affordable brands like Revlon to Covergirl to higher end brands like Tarte and Josie Maran. The Revlon lip stains are abuzz on beauty blogs and in the YouTube beauty community for their wide color selection (15 colors), longevity, and overall aesthetically pleasing effect. Lip stains are a no-muss no-fuss product because they are essentially lip markers full of color that you apply to your lips that aren’t creamy or glossy, but matte and fresh looking, hence the product name stain and the Revlon name bitten. 3. Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Gel Cream- This stuff really works, as this writer can testify to personally. It doesn’t completely get rid of cellulite, but tightens the skin to make cellulite less visible, and firms your problem areas so that over time certain cellulite marks do go away. It’s a great step to add into your daily routine a week or two before you hit the pool or beach with your friends. Price ranges from $10-$16.

4. Jergens Natural Glow Express Body Moisturizer- This miracle products fakes a natural-looking tan in just a day. In one day you see the beginnings of a tan and get color, and within three days you get a full shade of color. It’s idiot-proof because everyone knows how to apply moisturizer, and it isn’t fake tan in a bottle that can get everywhere and create blotches, uneven color, and a huge mess. It’s subtle, yet effective. Price ranges from $6-$8.

5. Maybelline SuperStay Foundation- Maybelline’s SuperStay foundation is marketed as a 24 hour foundation, that stays put no matter what. It’s a hefty claim, and in this writer’s experience, yes it is a bit of an exaggeration. However, of all the foundations I have ever tried this does stay put for the longest. Expect at least eight hours of decent wear from this foundation, and it is sweat-proof and transfer-resistant once it sets. Everyone needs that during the summer. Expect to pay around $7-$9.

6. Revlon Colorstay Foundation- Revlon Colorstay is also a longwear foundation, and it differs from SuperStay in that it has different formulations. One is an oily/combination skin range, and the other is for normal/dry skin. This may be helpful who find that Maybelline doesn’t answer their skin’s more demanding needs. Both Maybelline and Revlon do not have pumps for these specific foundations however, which is disappointing. Expect to pay around $10-$13.

7. ELF Brushes- These brushes are amazing, and for a price ranging mostly from $1-$5, the price is unbeatable. Elf Essential brushes go for $1, Elf Studio brushes go for around $3, and Elf Mineral go for around $5, with some exceptions. Nearly all the brushes have good reviews and have been raved about in magazines and on websites. For $12 you can get a pack of $12 brushes, a great way to build your kit and achieve a gorgeous summer look.

8. ELF Essentials Beauty Book- ELF’s latest batch of twelve-eyeshadow palettes are absolute stunners, with gorgeous rich colors. There are three versions- Bright, Neutral, and Smokey. Bright is ideal for those who love color, Neutral is great for work and arguably also for night-time, and Smokey is perfect for dressing up your eyes. Each sells for $5, and can be found at Target.

9. Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipsticks- There are 44 shades of this lipstick, and beauty blogs everywhere are buzzing about this new product. These lipsticks are particularly moisturizing and have great fun color choices perfect for summer. Expect to pay around $7.

10. Milani Baked Blushes- These are baked blushes that are said to be a close match to MAC’s mineralized blushes. There are nine different colors, and each is an infusion of several different flattering hues all swirled together and baked on Italian terracotta tiles. I dare you to find more summery then that! Website price- $8.

Cosmetic company Urban Decay has been known for releasing high-end and great quality beauty products, but their “Eyeshadow Primer Potion” has got to be one – if not – their best idea ever. You can buy Urban Decay’s Primer Potion in for different styles:

1. Original: A matte skin tone color.
2. Sin: A shimmery champagne color
3. Eden: A matte orange nude color.
4. Greed: A shimmery yellow gold color.

The primers come in comes in two different tubes too. You can get any of the primers in the handy easy-to-squeeze tube or the “vintage” genie bottle. Primers have become such a revolutionary product in the cosmetic world and the primer potion is known to be one of the very best, which is no wonder why it is Urban Decay’s # 1 best-selling product.

This product will make your shadows more vibrant and stop them from creasing, and for one girl to another there is nothing worse than going out with your friends and noticing that your eye shadow is being to crease. It is up there with having lip stick on your teeth and a having noticeable foundation line, as a major beauty disaster.

As a primer potion lover I must say this is one of the best primers that I have tried. No lie! It really does keep your eyeshadow from creasing even after a long workout at the gym. However, if you are like be and don’t like a lot of shimmery; I would get the primer in “Original” or “Eden,” because once applied “Sin” and “Greed” actually look like eyeshadow colors all on their own.

The product is a bit expensive; ranging from $18 to $20 depending on where you buy it, but than again you get what you pay for and I completely think that it is worth the money. You can get the “Primer Potion” at UrbanDecay.com, Sephora in stores and online, Ulta in stores and online as well.
