A bully defined as a kind in school or your neighborhood that calls you names and occasionally trips you when you walk, but the bullied have always-found comfort in knowing that at the end of the day they can go home an escape all the abuse. However, with the growing in packed of the internet and interactive social sites the abuse continues and follows kids to their one sanctuary, home. Kids targeting each other online have become the newest form of bulling, and this type of abuse called cyberbulling. There are many dangerous of cyberbulling, and, although all forms of bulling is terrible the differences between in person and online abuse is that there are not many laws against cyberbulling. Moreover, what makes cyberbulling even more dreadful is the fact that online you can say things that you would never in consider saying to a person’s face. Not only has cyberbullying been the focus of the media; a lot Hollywood stars banned together in the fight to stop cyberbullying, and just bullying in general.

In 2008, Demi Lovato, was known for staring in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and releasing a hit selling debut album, Don’t Forget. Now she is most recognized as the spokesperson for “Teens Against Bullying” to help stop bully, which issue she has personally dealt with. Demi admits to having been bullied; the scars it left played a big part in her checking herself into a treatment center for emotional and mental problems in November 2010. The 18 year old star made a statement saying “I asked to leave public school,” she said. ”I was bullied. I had a hate wall in the bathroom, and everyone signed a petition that said ‘We all hate Demi Lovato.”.

In addition, she shared her story with Seventeen Magazine readers saying, “I was bullied when I was younger, it got so bad that I ended up leaving school because of it and the effects of that traumatizing time are still with me to this day.” Now that Demi is healthy, she is back on the fight to put a stop to bullying telling Seventeen Magazine readers “It’s not okay to bully anyone—ever. I hope to encourage everyone to take a stand and put a stop to this horrible epidemic. If you are being bullied or if you know someone who is, please visit Teens Against Bullying for more info. Together we can make a difference—together we can save lives.”

ABC Family has also jumped on the fight against bullying bandwagon with their original movie “Cyberbully” staring Emily Osment, Kay Panabaker and Kelly Rowan. In the film, teenager Taylor Hillridge (Osment) becomes the target of cyberbulling. Taylor discovers who her true friends are and when pushed to her breaking point she learns that she is not the only sufferer, and the only way to stop bullying is to stop being a victim and start standing up. The film shined a light this very touchy subject, and brings into view the fact that cyberbullying is exist and could have deadly consequences. The movies star Emily Osment said told TV Guide that the movie shows how the bullied feel alone. “The biggest message in this film is that Taylor didn’t feel like she had anyone to talk to about it,” Osment says. “She didn’t think anyone was going through the same type of pain that she was experiencing and it made it that much harder. There are a lot of teen help lines and anonymous websites you can go on.”

Emily told celebuzz that the message she want to get out there to people going through the same things as her character in the movie is that they do not have to go through it on their own “You are not alone,” says the young starlet, “You can find help—talk to a friend, family, a teacher or an adult.” In addition, the starlet gave Mediablvd.com her advice on how people can delete digital drama in their own life is to just hit delete. “If you’re being bullied, the best thing to do is to … hit ‘delete.’ I mean that is truly as simple as it is. If you are seeing negative things online, you know try to get yourself away from it. And if you can’t get away from it, then you take yourself off line. It’s truly as easy as it is.”

Emily is apart of the “Delete Digital Drama,” ABC Family’s campaign with Seventeen magazine to help bring awareness to the cyberbullying issue. Others involved in campaign include Demi Lovato, Shailene Woodley (Secret Life of the American Teenager), Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars), Katie LeClerc (Switched at Birth), and many more stars. If you are being bullied in, anyway stand for yourself and get help, because you do not have to go through it unaided. And, if you are a bully, The Nine Lives of Chloe King’s Grey Damon puts it best when he says “Don’t just think about what you’re saying, think about how you’re saying it too!”

Remember sticks and stones can break bones, but words can hurt more.

Nice article about Vanessa and everything it has said is true although it mention her being the winner of People Choice Awards um that was a mistake Zac won unless she got majority of votes came very close or just by being nominated? Oh well I’m so proud of V. And I’m one of those fans that will follow through her movie career.
- Angie

Wow! I really like the style of that magazine, the way they make all the pictures look like they are drawings.

Hi readers!
I wanted to say thank for the support it means a lot, knowing that there are people who enjoy reading the magazine. I never thought anyone would read it and it would gain such an amazing following. So, thank you for everything! I read every comment and email I get from readers saying how much they enjoyed the articles and their thoughts on the magazine. It is truly a dream come true!

Remember every ones a Sparkling Star
-Narges

Name: Narges Taghavi

Bio: I love to write and read, but I love acting too. I think music is something that is amazing becuase songs can help people out in the most unexpected ways. I made this magazine for people to read about there favorite stars, reviews, fashion, health, and to show them that they hard work pays off and they can leave their dreams just like I am living mine.

Favorite Color: Pink! I’m a girly girl of course I love pink.

Favorite actor and actress: Audrey Hepburn, Julie Andrews, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Johnny Deep, Kate Winslet, and Hilary Duff.

Favorite Movie: I was never really a movie buff but I really like old movies, which is a given since my favorite movie is The Happiest Millionaire. I love Funny Face, Sound of Music, High Society, and some John Hughes films I love are The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. But, I do enjoy watching romance films like “While You Were Sleeping” and “A Cinderella Story.” As for horror movies, “The Uninvited” and the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” films are the best.

Favorite TV Show: I always have a hard time finding good TV Shows, but my favorite shows of all time and if I’m watching TV I will mostly like be watching, if you ask me the best show ever, Gilmore Girls. Also, I seem to have a thing for CW shows, like Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries.

Favorite Singer/Band: Music is a big part of my life and I would have to say gospel and Broadway music is my favorite type to listen too. I think Francesca Battistelli song “Free To Be Me” kind of represents my life right now, also Addison Road is another group that has a lot songs that make me stop and think. And, the soundtrack to Legally Blonde: The Musical is so much fun to listen to, as well as My Fair Lady Broadway soundtrack. It is safe to say while I’m writing my iTunes is usually playing in the back around.

Favorite Book: I’m a big reader so to pick my favorites would be hard. I love Charles Dickens and “A Christmas Carol” is one of the best books ever! However, “Oliver Twist” is another great Dickens tale and “Alice in Wonderland” is a really good book and in my opinion way best then the movies. Still, like every girl I do have those guilty pleasure books and for me it would have to be Ann Brashares novels her “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” series is amazing.

Favorite Holiday: Christmas is the best! No other holiday can beat the food, lights, music, and magic that Christmas brings.

Favorite Charity: I love so many charities and try my best to donate to as many as I can. But I would have to says that Autism Speaks is my favorite because it really hits close to home.

Favorite Articles to Write: Reviews and Fashion! I use to love writing history articles, but lately I love writing about fashion and reviews. It is weird because I never liked writing review but now I cannot get enough of writing and reading them.

Favorite Magazine and Blogs: Sparkling Stars, Portrait, Shape, & College Fashion!

I love Degrassi! I started watching it back around the third season when I live in Vancouver, Canada and when I moved to the stated four years ago I completely forgot about the show until I started seeing promos of the tenth season on Teennick, and thought I’d watching the show all the way from season one. I’m only on season 4 now but after reading your article and finding out what is going to happen in the tenth season I want to watch it more and more. Thanks for doing an aritcle about Degrassi because it is a great show with a great cast and doesn’t get as much attention as it should.
- Leah

Sparkling Stars reviews is my favorite part of the magazine and I really liked the one you did on “Ramona and Beezus” it has to be my favorite movie as of right now. I’m a big Selena Gomez fan and when I saw it I became an even bigger fan and totally agree with what you said Ramona did make me see that being different is okay!
– Arden

This issue was alright Degrassi was kind of boring at first but the ninth and tenth season really changed my mind and made me like it more, but I’m not a die heart fan of the show. I did enjoy you Revolution Girl feature, because I really like how you’ve kept it going for three years in a row and I get to find out about up and coming stars. Oh, and the Wizard of all article was interesting on a scale of one to ten I would have to give this issue a 6.
- Mercy

Mae Whitman: Probably best known now a day for her role as rebel daughter Amber Holt on the NBC series Parenthood, but her first big time roles came back in 1996, where she stared in the bock buster hit, Independence Day. Besides “90210” she had a twelve episode arc on the show Nip/Tuck, played a cheerleader in the film “Fired Up!”, and started in the suspenseful, The Haunting of Molly Hartley. AnnaLynne doesn’t have many known roles under her belt just yet but wait and see the blond beauty is going to be seen.

Alyson Michalka: You might remember her from the Disney Channel original series Phil of the Future where she played Keely Teslow ; on a show about a family from the future who inadvertently gets stuck in 2004 and most learn to live like a normal family in a time not their own. Perhaps you know her from her musical duo with her sister 78 Violet (formerly known as Aly and Aj) who have released two very successful albums not including their popular Christmas CD. She has blossomed in not only the acting but musical filed, and has come along way from Disney.

11. Selena Gomez: It is true that every little thing she does is magic. Selena hasn’t done bad from staring career off on Barney and after that she had to go through guest appearances on hit Disney Channel shows before landing the role that has made her a household name, Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place. She then took that star power and turned her talent to music with “Selena Gomez and the Scene” and showed us what a wonderful actress she is in not only the Wizards of Waverly Place TV movie, but her first feature film “Ramona and Beezus.” She has proven that good girls finish first and any role can be the staring point for stardom.

Coming Soon: Although, Selena loves her job this young starlet wants to take a small step away from Hollywood and to University, since through with high school she is hoping to branch out to college and maybe do the acting on the side. The film “Monte Carlo” that she filmed earlier this year has set the released date of February 11, 2011. As for wizards it is like the old saying goes “all good things must come to an end;” since she has chosen to put her attention on movies and music it leaves little time for the show, I ‘m sad to say after the series fourth season we must bid farewell to waverly place however Gomez has confirmed a “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie Sequel” for 2011.

Miranda Cosgrove: She started acting at the age of ten alongside Jack Black in the flick “The School of Rock” and in 2005 she went on to star with a number of young actors in the remake movie “Yours, Mine and Ours.” Although, her film career is great TV is what she is known for, this Nickelodeon beauty was the little sister nobody ever wanted, Megan Parker in the half and hour tween comedy “Drake and Josh.” The show lasted for four years and had to successful TV movies, one had 8.93 million viewers which broke the record of most viewers for the debut of a Nickelodeon movie. Once the series was over Cosgrove head to another Nickelodeon set to start work on her new show, iCarly; the series follows Carly Shay and her best friends who decide to create their own web show, iCarly. Lucy Hale: Her career on the small screen has been pretty good but has one big down fall her shows can’t seem to stay on the air, she had series regular role on the short lived series “Bionic Woman” and the CW show “Privileged” which only lasted a season. She has done some guest appearances on hit shows like “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Private Practice,” Lucy has also started in the TV movies “Sorority Wars” and “Deep Cove.” But has she come to find her place in TV?
